Healthcare Equipment Centre
Often, the problems of patients and their relatives unfortunately do not end at Hospital. After discharge, post treatment traumas continue to haunt, and they are constantly in need of equipments like Wheelchair, walkers, folding beds, airbeds, waterbeds, etc. These equipments are pricy to buy and have no utility after the patient recovers. We at SMF, with a view to crease out this problem in within the society operate our Healthcare Equipment Centre, wherein such equipments are rented out to beneficiaries at a very nominal rent.
- Today the foundation owns more than 100 different equipments .
Ram Roti
Food, clothing and shelter are basic necessities of mankind. Today though we have progressed ourself into a superpower and the basic standard of living within India is also improving, many destitute soles still sleep empty stomach. Even the so called Wada Pao now costs no where less than Rupees Fifteen. In attempt to deal with this issue, SMF started its Ram Roti programme in 2014. Initially the programme was started at Civil Hospital, Ratnagiri wherein the patients and their relatives came from remote villages and their entire earning would be spent on transport and medicines. We under Ram Roti provided them with a mean which includes 3 Chapatis and 1 Big Container of Sabji at a nominal price of Rs. 10. Also, the same was the condition of the vegetable and fruit vendors in the Market Areas of Ratnagiri, who travelled form nearby villages and would only have a single Wada Pao and a cup of tea as their lunch. However, post introduction of Ram Roti at Vitthal Mandir, Ratnagiri now these vendors happily have a healthy meal.
Tree plantation
As we all know, the trees are being largely cut with a view tp built highways, construct buildings and industries. Though it seems inevitable, we cannot overlook the fact that same has not only endangered our nature but has also been cause of disastrous like Global Warming, Floods, Uncontrolled pollution, etc. The only way to mend is to restore the nature. Witha view to take a small step towards it, Shivprasad Mahajani Foundation has started this plantation drive. We aim at planting plenty of trees in schools, villages, government institutions and industries, wherever an open land is available. These trees planted are of Indian origin and have potential to grow independently once looked after for initial 5 to 6 years. We trust, that every small step taken today shall make a difference tomorrow. We immensely feel happy to have successfully planted around 70 trees in last one month!
Annual Scholarships
Bhagojisheth Keer Law College in Ratnagiri has been a stepping stone for many aspiring legal professionals. Recognizing that financial limitations can hinder even the most deserving students, we have established an annual scholarship to ensure that no student's dreams are curtailed due to an inability to pay fees. Each year, during our annual function, we proudly award this scholarship to one deserving student. In the same event , we also honor students who have excelled academically throughout the year. Our commitment to nurturing young talent is further exemplified by the presence of distinguished dignitaries from both within and outside the legal profession, who grace the stage and inspire our students.
